Episode 4: Richard Murphy

There’s a shock… and then an adaptation…. there’s exhaustion… but tomorrow’s a new day

In episode 4 we are chatting with everyone’s favourite; Richard Murphy. The nicest person you’ll ever meet has been a part of the studio since day 1, and been a rock for us all since ever. In this lovely honest chat we get to hear about it all from relationships to parenting, coaching and friendship. It’s so worth a listen. The general rule goes, if you don’t love Richie something is wrong with you.

Episode 5: David Eriksson

Self Reliance, Travel, Fasting, Culture and more

In episode 5 I got to sit down with one of my favourite coaches, the intriguing David Eriksson. David, for someone so young, has the ability to blend youthful drive and enthusiasm with principle-based knowledge and experience. He is an old soul, and his growth in the last year alone has been astounding to witness. This podcast is about the things we can learn from normal people, being that ‘normal’ people are anything but normal; we all have things of value to share. We get to learn about David the person as well as David the coach, they’re inseparable for the most part.

Episode 6: Martina Dunne

“It doesn’t matter that your nose might be broken, get up and get on with it”

In this amazing episode I got to know Martina Dunne a good bit more, finding out about her tough upbringing shaping who she is and driving her to push through difficulty. We learned how she is finding balance to perform her best and how she has stepped into her passion, helping women. She does this by leading her Mum+Baby class around Dublin, and bringing her talks of Training around your menstrual cycle to different spaces. Martina is a fantastic person and someone I’ve seen continue to grow, defined by her strong will and determination. I think you’ll love this one!

Episode 7: Kate Cullen

From ‘This is you forever, you’re not going to get better, whatever you do is going to cause you pain”to “Just show up, change the narrative'“

From living in pain since a car accident, to learning to relieve that pain through movement… to living in Australia, New Zealand and returning to Ireland. In this chat you get to meet Kate, whom we’ve known for 4 years. She has become a close friend, and is someone who has been instrumental in the studio’s growth in the last 18 months in particular, lending her heart-driven talents to organise things and get us over a hump into what now feels like boundless potential. She opens up about getting past vices, what dance means to her, and even a random life-changing visit to church. We’ve a lot to learn from everyone we meet. And hearing about Kate’s background at the same time we see her step into new space each day has been a joy. Hope you enjoy this episode!

Episode 8: Gerlinde Halmer

In this episode we are joined by Gerlinde Halmer. Although we have featured a lot of coaches/teachers so far we want to highlight and emphasise the normal side of them. Gerlinde shares a lot of personal stories from childhood all the way to today, from leaving Austria for Ireland, a career in design, then yoga, relationships and more. A lot goes into getting an adult where they are at in life, and we hope when you listen to this that it’s because you are interested in peoples stories. You will invariably learn something that will help your own life, you’ll relate, and feel more connected to people you don’t know. So, avoiding the specifics of the person involved, please listen, enjoy and let us know your thoughts <3
